A blog from the bog

Are you sitting comfortably? I'll begin.

It's not often a toilet is worthy of its own press release - usually vice versa - but then again, the Toto Neorest is not your bog standard bog.

Dubbed "the world's most exciting toilet", a line I never thought I would write, Toto's wall-hung loo is certainly in a league of its own.

Apart from taking care of the usual business, this toilet boasts a remote controlled magic wand (I kid you not), that directs water to cleanse after each use. This feature can be personalised apparently.

Other features include an automatic power deodorant, heated seat and automatic flushing plus 'clean technology' that opens and closes the lid automatically.

All that is missing it would seem is a kennel for one of those adorable Labrador pups.

As for spending a penny, you will need quite a few of them. Prices start from £8,785.

The first two Toto loos are installed in the C.P. Hart flagship showroom near (appropriately) Waterloo.

C.P. Hart are the UK exclusive distributors of the full range of Toto's bathroom collection.

  1. Hello Graham

The Neorest is remarkable but it is not unique.

We at PDS Hygiene have been distributing an electronic bidet toilet seat in the UK for more than two years. Our seat - the Bio Bidet - converts most conventional toilets into sophisticated shower-toilets. It does almost all that the Neorest does: wash, dry and deodorise etc. The Bio Bidet won’t automatically raise and lower the lid for you, and you will have to press the flush handle yourself. But at a twentieth of the cost of the Neorest, who cares? And the Bio Bidet has one major advantage: it holds WRAS approval for connection to the water main in the UK.

We will be showing the Bio Bidet at the KBB show. In the meantime you might like to visit our website: www.pdshygiene.com where there is a video presentation of the Bio Bidet.
