New Neff oven sensation

Forget Mott The Hoople and 'Roll Away The Stone', now you can SlideAway the oven door on the latest range of ovens from the UK's built-in marker leader Neff.

It forms part of a revamped cooking and dishwashing range unveiled to Neff's Master Retailers at the Celtic Manor on 13 March.

While Neff's SlideAway technology is not in itself new, the company first launched it in 2002, but this is the first time the system has been available on an oven with a standard, 58litre cavity.

This neatly knocks the only criticism of the SlideAway oven on its head and opens the way (or should that be door), to many new sales opportunities.

The SlideAway option - available on all Neff single ovens in groups 2 - 6 - is an ideal choice for narrow, galley-type kitchens, while the access the slide-under door system gives to the oven interior is exceptional, making this a great universal access appliance.

SlideAway is unique to Neff and may remain so for some time, even within the BSH Group. Circotherm, Neff's patented fan cooking system, remains a Neff-only product for example, and that's 35 years old!

One thing seems pretty certain, it will be a long time before you see a sliding door system to rival SlideAway on a '£199.99 Oven-Hob-&-Hood Pack' of questionable parentage on offer.

The Neff SlideAway feature is part of a complete cooking and dishwashing range update, the first by Neff for four years.

A full report(and much better images) follows on the kbb News website on Monday 16th March.
