UBM postpones kbb London

UBM Live has announced the postponement of kbb London 2009, which was set to be launched at Earls Court from 17-19 May.

The launch of kbb London came in direct response to market enquiry and research and is a natural extension to UBM's successful kitchen, bedroom and bathroom franchise comprising kbb Birmingham, kbbNews and the online product directory, kbb 365.

Although kbb London was targeting architects, interior designers and specialist retailers at the higher end of the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom industry, the current financial crisis has clearly affected this part of the market.

Many companies have clearly made a tactical decision not to not take part in exhibitions this year.

UBM Live Group Director, Andy Braid said, "As established media providers, we have to listen and respond sensitively to our communities especially in such times as this .

"The decision to postpone kbb London is disappointing, but we want to put on the best and most representative exhibition showcase we can and the current market conditions are hindering our progress to achieve that.

"We are aware that the industry still wants an event in London and will be assessing how best the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom industry can be served in the capital in due course."

"We have unrivalled experience in the exhibition industry and have used the enormous accomplishment of kbb Birmingham to continually grow our portfolio of online and face to face solutions.

"I look forward to delivering a successful kbb Birmingham next year, the first industry event of 2010."

kbb Birmingham will take place from 21-24 March 2010.
